Foot bridge across the creek, Taylor Kidd Blvd is at the back of this view, there is small parking lot there if you wish to start your hike from there.
This is the rugged scenic trail along the east side of the bay. The parallel upper trail is more family friendly. Maps are posted along the trails.
Ice can pile up on the south shore of Amherst Island.
Parrot Bay trail 1 km west of Parrot Bay is family friendly.
There are many fine tall pines along the east side of Parrot Bay
The lower flag is the Royal Union Flag, proudly used by United Empire Loyalists whose ancestors came to this area from the USA after the American Revolution.
Enjoy a picnic here by the lake. You can also park your car here and begin your Parrot Bay hike on the other side of the road. Try a 4 km. hike all around Parrot Bay and back to here. Allow a bit over an hour.
